Apps are all the rage these days and a day never seems to go by without a new basket of “must haves” are pushed under your nose. Here we look at ten free amazing guitar apps that you should consider bunging up those last few bytes on your phones memory card.

GuitarTricks is the app which reflects the truly massive amount of material available from the website of the same name. There is also a huge and highly sub’d Youtube channel which keeps pushing new content on a regular basis.
There are over eleven thousand, yes, eleven thousand lessons as well as over seven hundred songs. It really does have something for everyone from beginner to advanced.
If you would like to know more about GuitarTricks click GuitarTricks which takes you to the Google store.
EIGHT – gStrings
There are two versions of this guitar tuner app. The free version means you need to put up with ads, however, if you can put up with ads and we do every day, what’s the problem.
Without doubt this is one of the most popular guitar tuner apps out there with an astonishing number of over 190K downloads and a high user rating.
Download this excellent tuner by clicking on gStrings.
SEVEN – GUITAR CHORD
It was a bit of a struggle to find an app that just dealt with chords as the majority of apps also include songs etc. It’s not that we are against songs as there is “an app for that”, but this app is just for chords alone. GUITAR CHORD is not the most amazing looking app, but it’s simple, easy to use and not large in terms of size. The main problem is that the app has not been updated since 2011 but that does not mean that the material held within it is any less relevant and that’s why we have included it in our ten free amazing guitar apps.
So, if you can put up with a basic looking app which does the business then check out Guitar Chord.
SIX – YOUSICIAN
Okay, this is not just a guitar app, it’s also for learning piano and ukulele! Coming up for 47K installs, Yousician (who thought up that name?) states that it’s the number one education app in one hundred and nineteen countries which is used by twenty five million people. This is a bit of a head scratcher because it clearly states that there have been around 47K installs.
Anyway, despite this anomalously, it’s a professionally put together learning app which you can view in action in the video below. By the way, this video has been punted hard by the company on Youtube and now has a staggering 14 million views!
